B IS ALSO FOR BOLD & BRIGHT, AND BOLD & BRIGHT THIS PLACE IS.

And not just due to the copious amounts of extreme colour that we added but from the amazing amount of full sunlight that Barbara gets from the walls of windows that wrap her living room.

So much sunlight in fact that we almost had to scrap the pics we shot because it was a perfect cloudless day and the sun was in full force in her Living Room.  But then once we saw the pictures we thought “Eff it!! Embrace the Sun.”  All the sun and shadows actually add a very cool element.

If you have been following us for any amount of time (and if you haven’t you really should start) then you know that we love a whole whack of bright, beautiful colours.  Well lucky for us Barbara loves her some colour as well.

She had moved into her new space and was struggling with how to use her existing furniture to properly utilize the unfamiliar floor plan, the biggest issue being the sectional sofa.

Something else we love at teb Interiors is ‘Out with the old and in with the new’ so bu-bye sectional sofa and hello brand new sexy, sleek couch and chair & ottoman both from Design Republic.  Now don’t get me wrong, we are also still firm believers in ‘Reduce, Reuse, Recycle’ so we re purposed her existing dining chairs and transformed them into something out of this world by spraying them out in a rich, dark Navy blue and incorporated our very own teb exclusive fabric print on the inside back rest.

Her floors are polished concrete that give a wonderful raw industrial look but also tend to be a bit cold on the feet so we introduced some warmth, texture and colour to the floor by adding this spectacular Silk Sari Carpet from Weaver & Loom.

Barbara has collected a number of interesting objects and photos over the years so we were able to incorporate them into the space including a new picture wall in the dining area.

So unless you’re a Vampire and you screech in pain as your body starts to disintegrate from the light of day, let the sunshine in baby!  Except when you are trying to watch the latest episode of ‘Shameless’, then definitely close the blinds, shut the hell up and pass me that big bowl of chips.

“EFF IT!!  EMBRACE THE SUN”
